ILLUMINATION

Illumination is a web-app that listens to the user as they talk or read a story and processes colors based on the mood of the content. Natural language is parsed by GPT and the words are fed to Perception AI. Best Use of ML/AI at Codazen Hackathon 2024.

In today's digital age, parents/teachers often struggle to make reading sessions engaging and immersive for their children/students, who are accustomed to the dynamic and interactive experiences offered by modern technology. With Illumination, sensory stimulation is added to capitivate listeners and enhance understanding of the story.

During the hackathon, I worked with a team of five, four Codazen employees and one other UCI student. I focused on the Web Speech API integration for this app and the UI by following designs made by the team's UI/UX designer.

I had an amazing experience at this hackathon. Working with Codazen's employees showed me what amazing communication looked like and I strive to be at the level.
